The Lord spoke through Stephanie, Monique, Brittany, and Natasha in unexpected ways. These workshop leaders operated by the Holy Spirit, honoring and obeying God. I am grateful for their honesty, humility, and compassion towards us women experiencing the Lord’s presence. 
Attending this retreat was unlike any other I have experienced, as I not only had the chance to receive but also to give. This made the experience even more impactful, echoing the biblical truth that it is better to give than to receive, a reality that was profoundly evident during this retreat.
It was clear that each speaker walked in the Fear of the Lord, focusing on Him rather than themselves. They shared the message He prompted them to deliver. It was a blessing to see how God used them to model what it means to walk in the Fear of the Lord and be a righteous woman of God (a Proverbs 31 woman!).
EVERY workshop was POWERFUL. I’ve never experienced this before. God is faithful and good. It was amazing to learn about His Faithfulness through other women's testimonies and Biblical stories, along with much more that I can't fully express. It was perfect. I am forever changed!

Hi! My favorite Bible verse is Matthew 6:21: "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."

I’m excited to see how God will move in the lives of every woman who attends, throughout the retreat and beyond. The theme “in the details” is such an amazing reminder of how much God loves us and how much he cares for us each and every moment, of each and every day.

Hi! My name is Ashley, and I’m a devoted wife, a mom of two lively boys, and I also balance work with the many joys and challenges of family life. My faith is what sustains me through it all, and one of my favorite Bible verses is John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled or fearful.” This verse is a constant reminder of the peace that only God can provide, even in the midst of life’s chaos. I use it daily to remind myself to surrender to His will, not mine, and that gives me peace. I am so excited for the upcoming retreat! I look forward to reflecting on how God’s faithfulness shows up in the small, everyday moments of life, and I can’t wait to disconnect from the world, and connect with other women, deepen my faith, and be reminded of His unwavering presence.

FAQs

What can I expect in a faith-based retreat? 

Every retreat experience is unique, however for this retreat experience you can expect encouraging messages that are centered around God's faithfulness, accompanied with prayer, worship time, journaling, workshops, exercise activities and more. It is such a beautiful time to nourish your spirit, reflect deeply and escape the grind of life and give uninterrupted, undivided attention to see the bigger picture of your life.

 Luke 5:16 "Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and pray" which is a great reminder for us, that if Jesus Himself took time out to retreat from the world, to abide in God's presence we too should follow that example. 

How is the retreat itinerary structured?

Great question! It will be structured with large and small group workshops. The schedule includes several down time moments for relaxation and fellowship. There will also be wellness sessions for participants to choose an activity, such as painting, jewelry making, and/or body massages based on the retreat's theme, etc. 

Can children come to the retreat?

Not at this time, especially since we do not offer childcare. 

Is a deposit required to secure your spot?

Yes! To secure your spot, a registration deposit of $85.00 is required. This deposit goes towards your total retreat package balance and it is non-refundable. Only those who complete the Early Bird Registration in the month of January, will the registration deposit of $85.00 be discounted to $75.00

I completed the registration survey. What's the next step?

Once your registration survey is complete, the next step is the registration application that will be emailed to you shortly after. The sender will say, "Jesus Hands & Feet" since Above the Wildflowers is the women's ministry branch for the non-profit organization, Jesus Hands and Feet. 

How should I look for in my email for the Registration application?

 The email sender will state the company name, "Jesus Hands & Feet" since Above the Wildflowers is the women's ministry branch for the non-profit organization, Jesus Hands and Feet. Once you open the email and click on the link, you should also see "HoneyBook" which is our client management platform. 

Are payment installments available?

Yes! Payment installments are available and they scheduled on a set date for each month. If you prefer to pay the total balance instead of using the payment installment method, please send an email to abovethewildflowers24@gmail.com so the payment methodology may be updated.

Can I use a Credit Card for payments? 

Credit Card and ACH payments are accepted.

What kind of amenities does the retreat venue provide?

○ Strong Wi-Fi: network

○      Kitchenettes with fridge, freezer, microwave, and toaster. NO oven or stovetop.

○      Hospitality rooms with coffee, tea, and artesian well water available 24/7

○      A bookstore in the Main Building

○      An in ground swimming pool (There is NO lifeguard on duty, so guests are strongly encouraged to refrain from swimming alone) 

○      A Labyrinth to explore peace and rest. There is no lighting around the labyrinth after dark.
